1. UN Organization
The UNHCR means Untied Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. It is the part of the UN that deals with refugees, like what's happening is Greece. In Athens, Greece, a bunch of refugees have been finding their way over to the Greek Islands. Over 30,000 people are seeking shelter in Greece from Syria. Right now, the Greek Islands are housing thousands of people and they are way over the capacity. Greece is trying to figure out how to handle all of the people coming in.

2. Any IGO
The World Trade Organization is an IGO obviously. So basically the "US Steel and Aluminum Products" has opened their doors for the public to come in a view their meetings at the request of Switzerland, the Eu, and Norway. The meeting with the parties are on the 4th and 5th of November 2019 and it is at the Headquarters in Geneva. The public session is due to start at 10 am on the 4th.

3. Hybrid IGO
The EU (European Union) is an example of a Hybrid IGO and they just made a new rule about household appliances. They looked into the idea about eco-friendly designs for house appliances like fridges. This isn't just bringing down the carbon dioxide (46 million ton reduction) in the atmosphere but also bring down the electricity costs for European citizens.

4. Treaties
NATO is basically a treaty, I guess. Over 3,000 troops were sent from 12 NATO allies (such as Poland, Italy, Canada, and Albania) to Latvia for a military, multinational exercise. They went over there in order to meet and learn "from one of the four battlegroups from Nato (NATO.inc). The exercise covered topics such as guiding fighter airplanes to targets on the ground (NATO.inc). This military exercise ended today, October 3.

SARS CoV-2, COVID-19, and The World

It's no secret that right now the SARS CoV-2 is wreaking havoc across the world. As of today, the United States has surpassed China as the nation with the most cases of the novel coronavirus, with over 86,000 cases in our country to date. This is all pretty crazy, especially considering that this is all because of a pathogen that supposedly started with either bats or pangolins (the only mammal in the world known to have scales) in a small localized region of China. Of course, it's not only the health effects that are wide-reaching; the social effects are also just as prevalent. One of the ways in which the world is rapidly changing in regards to social effects is through panic buying of goods at places such as supermarkets and hypermarkets such as Walmart. However, the good news is that food in general is not going to run out; there may be shortages of certain particular items, nevertheless, as certain nations have curtailed exports. COVID-19 Blog

As the spread of COVID-19 becomes greater many opinions on how to respond to this global pandemic have surfaced. Just a few months ago much of the population in the United States felt unthreatened by the virus as it spread through China, being concentrated in Wuhan, and later spreading in Europe. It was not until the virus quickly erupted in the United States that we each understood the true severity of this pandemic. Now we are seeing how individuals are being greatly impacted by this virus as we are all being asked to stay home and the everyday parts of our lives have been flipped upside down.
