The future of work in America is, like any prediction, ultimately uncertain, but there are numerous factors that are contributing to what can be predicted. Through the careful gathering of data by the McKinsey global institute, it is plain to see what jobs/lines of work are likely set to thrive and which ones might be in danger. It seems to be the trend that the jobs most in danger of displacement are the ones that are on the lower end of the pay scale. This appears to be correlated highly with jobs whose workers do not possess college degrees, as evidenced by this graph: Which shows that college degrees are more important than ever in a global economy less willing to shell out the big bucks on manufacturing and blue-collar work than ever, even though they constitute the largest portion of jobs in the world relative to other occupations, which really illustrates certain inequalities brought-on by a country exemplifying a capitalist model, such as the United States.  ...

Bond markets were first established during the Italian Renaissance to accommodate for Florence’s extreme debt and have since affected the rise and fall of great nations and individuals throughout history.  Florence fell into extreme debt because of the wars and recognized that they could not continue fighting if they didn’t have the money for it. As a last resort, they began taxing their citizens but with an interest rate in return. The bonds were considered liquid assets and citizens were allowed to buy and sell their bonds for cash. The limits to bonds were that increasing debt required more bonds and more bonds meant their value decreased. The Bond market enabled the Rothschild family in particular Nathan Rothschild to make a fortune and gain power. The Rothschilds made their first fortune by betting on the outcome of the battle of Waterloo. The Future of Work

       Because of the way technology has been advancing rapidly, our job opportunities have also changed and advanced. While often on the radio there's discussions of the way AI and robots will take over our jobs, I don't necessarily agree with this. The current trend in the way of robots seems like their purpose will be to make our jobs more efficient or easier. Consider the Roomba, a small vacuum that does the work for itself. One could argue that it's taking over the generally hands-on task of vacuuming, but in another perspective, it can give more free time to busy, working people. Because of this emphasis n new technologies, there has been a rise in jobs in major cities, I think that may be some of the cause for this graph below.        However, for those unlucky people who don't have good tech skills (me), there is less of a need to move to larger cities.
