Impeachment Blog

The CNN article that I read doesn't really take sides but it does go into detail about the process of impeachment and it talks about this past weekend and everything going on with the senators. The 2020 presidential cycle has been a whirlwind starting with the impeachment trial. After this past weekend, all of the senators are going to return to Washington to make their closing arguments either for or against Trump. Now that people are starting to fully recognize that it is extremely likely that Trump will be impeached, the Democratic voters have begun their search for a new president to bring forth into the election. Speeches from the floor broke the senators silence. They now have to take on the duty of deciding Trump's fate. Spoiler for all those who care about his fate after he gets impeached, the Republicans will make sure that Trump is not charged even though he is guilty of his crimes. I personally think that that is kind of a privilege move because that means that people with money and people who are in charge can get away with crimes that the every day civilian would be heavily charged with, but I guess that's how it is right? The people with the money and the offices high up in the government get to do what they want until they are kicked out free of charge right?
