1. UN Peacekeepers help countries with difficult situations to create a path from conflict to peace. Currently, the UN is considering to vote out the peacekeepers in Southern Lebanon as of August 28, 2019. There is security concern that are against sovereignty rights, the security council is formally reviewing the size of the forces and will be allowing cuts when it the renews the mission. The UN renewed the peacekeepers mission in Southern Lebanon back in 2017 when America and Israel complained that the forces were ignoring a Hezbollah arms buildup near Israel's border. As of recently the US and Israel feel like the peacekeepers are not being harsh enough to the crisis by Israel's border, the countries have pushed for fewer forces. This is why they are considering to to vote out peacekeepers in Southern Lebanon.

2. The Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization is a intergovernmental military alliance. Recently NATO sent 3000 troops to exercise Silver Arrow in Latvia, Exercise Silver Arrow is designed to test troops planning and execution of a mission. This allows an opportunity for battlegroups to grow on those specific skills. Latvia was once apart of Russia but after the Russian Revolution Latvia in 1917 they became independent states.

3. Brexit- Britain exiting- The UK leaving EU. The UK had a public vote to leave the EU in June of 2016 and the original date to leave was March of 2019. But why hasn't this happened? The UK requested an extension due to the House of Representatives not formally approving the withdraw agreement. The new date is October 31, 2019. This date might be pushed back further if the House of Representatives do not approve this by that time.

4. Trump basically made NAFTA 2.0 but now it is called USMCA. So this new agreement has included changes for automakers, stricter labor and environmental standards, and digital trade provisions. This is a big WIN for North American workers, farmers and just everyone! USMCA has been approved since June of 2019. I think this was a really good improvement on the NAFTA system.
